Job Description

The Student Life Office Assistant will assist in the day-to-day activities and operations of the Center for Student Engagement (CSE) and the Student Life Division. This individual will be crossed trained in all major areas of Student Life.  

Essential Functions:  

  • Open and close the Campus Center, Center for Student Engagement and Stinger Pub accordingly, manage the spaces with the utmost professionalism during all shifts.  

  • Assist students with questions about Student Life.  

  • Accomplish assignments related to large scale and small-scale Student Life Program initiatives.  

  • Provide shift coverage in Student Employment Areas when needed.  

  • Assist with the creation of Student Employment training and implementation.  

  • Assist with the Student Life Social Media Platforms.  

  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: 

The?Student Life Office Assistant?can work a maximum number of?10 hours a week at a rate of $15/hour. This position requires the ability to work late nights and weekends.? 

 

  • Eight hours will be set for the semester during normal business hours Monday-Friday 8:30pm-4:30pm 

  • Two hours will be flexible for late-night and weekend programming  

 

Student Life Office Assistants?will be required to attend trainings and staff meetings as determined by?the Associate Director for Student Engagement.?

  • Knowledge and experience with current administrative software: (ie:? MS Word, Excel, Internet browsers, Canva,?etc).? 

  • Ability to work independently or within a team setting.?? 

  • Maintain good academic and judicial standing.?
