ATHLETIC OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

Get Behind the Scenes of College Athletics!

Looking for a flexible job where you can be part of the excitement of game day? The Game Management Assistant helps ensure our home athletic events run smoothly from start to finish.

This is a great opportunity for college students who enjoy sports, working with people, and being part of a team. You’ll gain hands-on experience in event operations, customer service, communication, and game-day management while working in a dynamic athletic environment.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome and assist visiting teams
  • Serve as a liaison for game officials
  • Coordinate ball boys/ball girls for selected athletic events
  • Assist with event reconciliation and other game-day responsibilities
  • Support hospitality and visiting-team needs
  • Assist with parking and event operations
  • Set up and break down athletic facilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Schedule

Evening and weekend availability is required. Additional opportunities may be available during school breaks.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional and courteous when interacting with visiting teams, officials, coaches, and guests
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced event environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, and assist with setup/breakdown for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in athletics, event management, customer service, hospitality, or campus activities
  • Interest in sports, athletics administration, recreation, or event management
  • Previous experience working with teams, officials, or the public
